Shaving
No doubt waxing it all would last longer than shaving, but is EXTREMELY
painful. If you decide to shave it off, first thing you need is a mirror to see what you are doing - you want to avoid
cuts at all cost! And a good sharp pair of hair-cutting scissors. And decide if you want to do all of it, or leave the triangle
at the front. I always leave the triangle in front but just trim it about a finger's width short. That area is the itchiest
when it grows back!
Speaking of the itch factor, if you get a good close shave, it will be
nice and smooth for about a day, then it will be pretty itchy and weird for a few days. Then after a few days the stubble
softens up and in my opinion, that is the ideal length. If you (or he) have clippers (the electric shavers that go down to
about 1/8-1/16 inch) that may be as far as you want to go.
Anyway, first step is to use the scissors to trim as short as you can.
Then if you do have clippers, you may want to use it to trim further. You want as little hair as possible when you get to
the razor stage or it will take FOREVER. Wash well so your skin is soft, and use a good shaving cream or gel, which you may
need to reapply a few times. Shave IN the direction of hair growth (this will help avoid ingrown hairs - YOWCH). DON'T
use a single-blade razor, you want at least a double blade, personally I use the triple-blade Venus (Finally, the Mach III
for wommyn!) Rinse with cool water, this will help tighten pores & hair follicles, again helping to avoid ingrown hairs.
Finish with baby oil or an unscented or sensitive-skin lotion.
Then decide: do you want to surprise him blatantly (with an in-your-face
striptease, for example), or nonchalantly let him discover it on his own? Either way, don't get nervous or overly self-concious...
just know that he will be thrilled! Have fun! ~sxktn

Waxing
I've been going to a salon for a brazilian bikini wax for
almost a year and I don't think I'll ever stop! I tried shaving once, but it was very irritating and the stubble was terrible
so I bit the bullet and decided to try the wax. I took a couple ibuprofren an hour before my first appt (which was the
most painful, but not nearly as bad as what I had prepared myself for!!) Waxing lasts much longer than shaving and the hair
grows back finer and is much much softer. I make an appt every 5 weeks and still take the ibuprofren beforehand.
By the way, my husband and I both LOVE it!!
I surprised him and went without telling him. The bonus is that sex is even more enjoyable for me too. I can feel soooo
much more...or maybe it's because I just feel sexier? Hope this post helps! ~chats2

More Shaving Tips
For my Pubic area,
I use disposable triple blade razors (not those cutesy women kind...these are unisex. I also use shaving cream for sensitive
skin or hair conditioner. My husband does it for me because he can get into all those little spaces. If you are
really careful, there shouldn't be a problem. It does make him nervous to shave me, but he says it's worth it. ~sillykitty2001
My partner has shaved
my pubic area with both normal and electric razors (it arouses us both for him to do it for me), and both have done the job
equally well except I ALWAYS got a shaving rash, no matter what I used before, during or after! Until my
partner tried coating my pubic area with natural live yogurt after he'd shaved me (great fun when he licked it off too, but
that's another story!)
I admit that I find my shaved pubic area far more
arousing than before, and so does he, so I'd say go for it, after all, if you don't like it you can always let it grow back
again, can't you? ~tigress43
